Part of being an adult is getting excited about saving money. With that said, this blog should be pretty exciting for all the adults out there.
Are you sitting down?
What if we told you that you could save $1,000 or more in energy bills every year?
It’s inevitable: Every month, we have to pay a bill for running our air conditioner in the summer and furnace in the winter. If your HVAC system is 15 years or older, odds are, you’ve noticed this bill is going up, a clear indication it may be time to replace it.
If you’re looking for replacement options that will save you the most money on your energy bills, this is a game-changer in HVAC technology, and BOSS Services is the only company in Southwest Michigan that offers it.

How to Save 50-70% in Energy Bills EVERY Year
In early 2021, we discovered a company in Michigan that makes hybrid geothermal heat pumps allowing homeowners to heat and cool their homes with well water! We were so amazed by this technology, that we decided immediately to start installing them in Southwest Michigan. If there is a system that is more energy-efficient or environmentally friendly, we haven’t found it yet. Afterall, this system ensures your home’s heating and cooling is fueled by a renewable resource right in your own backyard!
It’s been proven that homeowners with these hybrid geothermal systems save 50-70% in energy costs per year (over $1,000 in most cases)! You can actually air condition and dehumidify your home for about $50 ALL summer…without an air conditioning unit! On top of that, would you believe us if we told you that the entire system is more affordable than other geothermal options?
Is My Home a Candidate for a Hybrid Geothermal System?
Does this sound like something you’d like to look into for your home? First use this simple check-list to see if your home is a good fit to heat and cool using well water:
1)You have a well
2) You heat your home with propane, fuel oil, electricity or wood
3) Your home has ductwork or room to add some ductwork.
Because we live in Southwest Michigan where winter can go from enjoyable first-snow flurries to miserable polar vortex pretty quick, which is why we highly recommend keeping your furnace for supplemental heating for single-digit temperature days. Thankfully, our Hybrid Geothermal systems will provide the majority of the heat throughout the winter so you can reap the benefits of significant energy savings.
How Can Well Water Heat and Cool My Home?
The secret to this system’s success is thermal energy created from well water. The water enters your home from your well, and then passes through a vapor compression process (just like a refrigerator uses), to heat and cool the home to your desired temperature. After the thermal energy is extracted, the water is released back into the ground where it filters through the soil and returns safely to underground aquifers.
So how is this a “hybrid” system? On extremely cold winter days, your home’s existing furnace is used for supplemental heating only. Fortunately, during hot summer days, your geothermal system can handle cooling your home all by itself!
