Who is as ecstatic about sending their kids back to school as BOSS owner, Jeff Street? Answer: Nobody. He’s so excited that he is announcing BOSS’s $59 Back to School Furnace Exams and talks about why Southwest Michigan homeowners should take advantage of this with WSJM’s Spencer Sheldon this week.
Most companies call this an early-bird special, encouraging homeowners to have a furnace inspection before they need to turn it on in cold weather and potentially realize it’s not working properly. So one of our experienced HVAC technicians will come out to your home and carefully inspect your furnace and make sure it’s functioning and safe to turn on for cold weather. Plus, we are the only company in the area that also offers a No Breakdown Guarantee along with that. So if your does break down this winter, we will give you a full refund of the $59 inspection price.
What types of furnaces do we service?
We can inspect and repair any type of furnace except oil furnaces. Oil furnaces are a specialty that we don’t service in-house due to the need for special tools and training with those particular types of furnaces. We are able to replace oil furnaces with a more fuel efficient, natural gas or propane furnace, but we don’t perform maintenance on them.
Real Talk: Why should I have my furnace serviced every 6 months?
Most companies recommend a furnace tune-up every 6 months because it will extend its life span and make it more efficient. We actually talked to a lot of people at the fair last week about this topic. One guy told me that his furnace and air conditioner was 25 years old and he’s never had a breakdown, but he also admitted that he schedules regular maintenance for it. So, he’s very proactive and he’s kept his system clean with regular filter changes and inspections to ensure that his furnace lasts longer than average.
What locations does BOSS service?
Our service area is rapidly growing. We have always served as far north as South Haven and as far south as New Buffalo and Niles, extending east into Cass County and even Kalamazoo County. We also serve Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Stevensville, Bridgman, Coloma, and more. However, we are excited to announce that we are now also moving into the Grand Rapids starting this month. So essentially, we have the ability to promptly serve all of Southwest Michigan now with heating, cooling, plumbing, and 1-Day bathroom upgrades.
Big Announcement: We’re Moving our Headquarters!
We were in need of more office space and warehouse space so we’re in the process of moving right now from Coloma to Baton Harbor, to the old Honda building next to M&W Tire on M-139. it’s a massive building that’s going to support our growth for the next five to 10 years as we expand across the state.
We’re Hiring HVAC technicians, Plumbers, Electricians, and more!
With our service area being so large, we are looking for more HVAC technicians, installers, plumbers and a master electrician to service this broad area. To clarify, we’re not driving people from Coloma or Benton Harbor all the way up to Grand Rapids. So we are looking for people who want to work within a short drive of where they live, and we are recruiting throughout Southwest Michigan for that reason.
We pay higher than anyone else in this area, with our HVAC and Plumbing Experts making between $60k-$120k per year, and we offer 100% paid medical benefits, a profit sharing program, paid vacation days and holidays (even your birthday is a paid day off). We’re really working hard at building a culture unlike anywhere else in the area so we can hire the best and retain the best.
