BOSS Services High School Summer Internship Program

Earn Money and Learn the Skills to Be Successful in a Flourishing Industry!

It’s no secret that the trades are booming, and skilled tradesmen are highly desired by employers all over the nation. BOSS Services would like to give high schoolers ages 16-18 in Southwest Michigan the opportunity to learn valuable skills and get started on a career path in a thriving industry. This summer, we would like to offer 2 high schoolers the opportunity to get paid to learn and grow their skillset, working for the fastest-growing home services company in Southwest Michigan.

Our paid summer internship will expose them to HVAC, bathroom remodeling, handyman services, and more! They will learn these trades and customer service skills, as well as build confidence by working alongside the most knowledgeable and experienced home services professionals in the region.

Hunter, pictured above, began his career with BOSS Services in high school. After graduating in 2021, he continued to work with us as an apprentice and received paid training nationwide until recently being promoted to an HVAC Technician in 2022. He is now making a great income (instead of racking up college debt) serving customers all over Southwest Michigan to rave reviews!

With this quote:

According to “Pure Michigan Talent Connect,” a significant shortage of professional trades workers persists in Michigan, and is expected to continue through 2030. These trades are anticipated to generate over 520,000 jobs within the state’s economy, with approximately 45,000 new job openings annually during this period. Moreover, wages for professional trades occupations surpass others by 16.2 percent, with a median annual salary of $61,000!

Why are the trades a viable career?

Traditional college may not be the career path for everyone, and now more than ever, the trades industry is flourishing, with many students choosing to avoid college debt and dive right into this

thriving industry. As a result, a high school student can begin a career in the trades industry and often make more money and have more flexibility than peers who chose the more traditional college route.
